SPEDO
Auto rickshaw, booked at a fixed fare
An auto fits two or three people and a bit of luggage, and on SPEDO it comes with the one thing a roadside auto does not: the fare agreed before you get in.
What you get
No negotiating at the kerb
The fare is computed from the distance and the standard tariff and shown before you confirm the booking.
Room for two or three with bags
The practical middle ground: more space than a bike taxi, cheaper than a cab, and able to reach lanes a car cannot.
Driver details before pickup
Name, vehicle number and live position are on your screen as soon as the booking is accepted.
Cash still works
Pay by UPI or card if you prefer, or hand over cash at the end as usual.
How it works
- Set your pickup and drop points.
- Select the auto option and review the fare.
- Confirm and track the auto to your pickup point.
- Pay by UPI, card or cash.
Common questions
- Is the auto fare metered or fixed?
- It is calculated upfront from the trip distance and the applicable tariff, and shown to you before you confirm, so you know the figure in advance rather than watching a meter.
- How many people can travel in one auto?
- Up to three passengers, depending on the vehicle and local regulations.
- Can I book an auto in advance?
- Autos are primarily an on-demand service. For a trip you need to plan around, an early flight for instance, an airport transfer or a cab is the more reliable option.
